Guyi Town in Xiangyang has long been known for its reputation of “connecting Bashu in the south and reaching the capital in the north.” Today, the opening ceremony of the bus express line from Guyi to the central urban area was grandly held at the Guyi Town bus station.

Li Xiaofen, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Municipal Public Transport Group, introduced the basic details of the Guyi bus express line. She pointed out that the opening of the Guyi line benefits nearly 100,000 residents along the route. The cost of a single trip for Guyi residents has been reduced from 9 yuan to 3 yuan, a decrease of 70%, saving residents along the route approximately 6 million yuan in travel expenses annually. Compared with the past, waiting time has been shortened from 40 minutes to 10 minutes, enabling residents along the Guyi route to enjoy more convenient and high-quality travel services.

After the ceremony, the leaders attending the launch event took the Guyi bus express line to experience the comfort and convenience of Tenglong’s 12-meter intelligent connected buses.

This year, the introduction of bus services in Huangji Town and Guyi Town in Xiangzhou District was included among the ten major livelihood projects. On June 23 and September 26, Tenglong Automobile successively supported the opening of bus services in Huangji Town and Guyi Town, ending the history of no public bus service in the two areas and providing strong support for local economic and social development.
