Yesterday, 10 Tenglong intelligent connected buses were officially put into operation on Xiangyang Bus Route 9. They are currently the “smartest” buses in Xiangyang, making Hanjiang Road the “most intelligent” road in the city, and marking Xiangyang’s entry into the era of “smart public transportation.”

The Tenglong 12-meter pure electric city bus features a novel and aesthetically pleasing exterior design suitable for enhancing the city’s image. It adopts a European-style square design with small rounded corners, presenting a modern appearance with a strong sense of the times. Both the interior and exterior decorations are attractive and distinctive, bringing a lively atmosphere to the city. Equipped with the company’s latest energy-saving, safety, and intelligent technologies, it is a new-generation, cost-effective city bus product designed to meet diverse market configuration needs.

Intelligent connectivity, in simple terms, refers to vehicle–road coordination. By utilizing intelligent onboard hardware, the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence technologies, a close perception mechanism is established among vehicles, roads, and pedestrians, enabling vehicles to communicate under different driving environments. This provides bus drivers with more convenient information services and offers passengers a more comfortable riding experience. Before being put into operation, the vehicles were equipped with intelligent connected devices such as OBU units, driver terminal information displays, large industrial passenger information screens, and integrated rear information-sharing displays. The demonstration buses on Route 9, manufactured by Tenglong Automobile, had undergone multiple rounds of testing, and in some scenarios have fully achieved “vehicle–road connectivity.”
