On June 23, 2022, in Huangji Town, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, the first Huangji dedicated bus line produced by Xiangyang Tenglong Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tenglong Automobile"), decorated with red ribbons, slowly drove into operation. This also marked the official launch of public bus services in Huangji Town.
The buses manufactured by Tenglong served as the first vehicles put into operation, representing recognition and encouragement from the Xiangyang municipal government, the public transportation company, and related departments.
The Huangji line is an urban-rural express route operating under a large-stop express and bidirectional departure model. The line is supervised by the public transportation dispatch command center and utilizes an advanced GPS intelligent dispatch system for full-process monitoring and command, ensuring the normal operation of the Huangji bus line.
In the past, shuttle buses for Huangji residents heading into the city operated on a "stop-on-demand" basis. After the introduction of public buses, they now stop at designated stations, which is not only safer but also faster.
The extension of bus routes to towns not only solves travel difficulties for residents along the route but also promotes integrated urban-rural development. It will play a positive role in many aspects, from boosting the economy and advancing urban-rural integration to facilitating employment opportunities and improving residents’ civic awareness.
The Tenglong pure electric city bus adopted this time features a stylish and modern exterior design, a well-organized interior layout, strong passenger capacity, and is equipped with Tenglong’s latest energy-saving, safety, and intelligent technologies. It is a new-generation, cost-effective city bus designed to meet diverse market configuration demands.
It comes standard with a multifunctional 360-degree panoramic monitoring system, eliminating drivers’ blind spots. Powered by energy-type lithium batteries and equipped with CRRC’s sixth-generation T-power system, the vehicle requires only 1–1.5 hours for charging. It also features active safety technologies such as FCWS (Forward Collision Warning System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), and LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System). NVH noise reduction technology is applied to enhance riding comfort.
As the main vehicle for the Huangji dedicated line, the 12-meter Tenglong pure electric city bus sets a benchmark for green transportation and efficient operation in terms of design, configuration, after-sales service, and performance.
