On August 21, the signing ceremony for the reorganization of Jiuzhou Automobile and the Xiangyang Autonomous Rail Transit (ART) demonstration line was grandly held at Xiangyang Jiuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. Zhang Jianyou, Vice Mayor of Xiangyang; Wang Chunsheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government; Hu Yang, Party Secretary and Chairman of CRRC Industrial Investment; Gu Yifeng, Chairman of CRRC Transportation; Tong Yifan, Deputy General Manager of CRRC Times Electric; and others attended the event.
Xiangyang Jiuzhou Automobile has the qualification to manufacture complete vehicles including large and medium-sized buses, specialized vehicles, and logistics vehicles, aligning with CRRC’s strategic layout for the bus industry in the Central China region. After the strategic reorganization, CRRC Transportation will entrust or jointly operate with CRRC Times Electric, relying on the CRRC brand advantages, introducing market resources and management models, and building Jiuzhou Automobile into a regional headquarters base for CRRC new energy buses, with market coverage extending to Hubei and the entire Central China region.
Zhang Yuhui, Director of the Management Committee of Dongjin New District of Xiangyang, and Zhang Tefu, Chairman of Qihang Automobile Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CRRC Transportation, signed the strategic reorganization cooperation framework agreement for Xiangyang Jiuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. on behalf of both parties.
To further deepen the strategic partnership between both parties, Zhang Jianyou, Vice Mayor of Xiangyang, stated that the Xiangyang Municipal Government will continue to support the demonstration application of CRRC’s innovative transportation equipment products in Xiangyang and support CRRC Transportation in carrying out integrated urban rapid transit solutions in the city. Xiangyang will cooperate in constructing an autonomous rail transit (ART) demonstration line of approximately 10 kilometers in Dongjin New District to improve the quality and efficiency of public transportation. At the meeting, both parties signed the ART demonstration line construction agreement.
